rsyslog-kafka 8.22

Postby Jzeolla » Tue Sep 05, 2017 9:27 pm

I often run into an issue where I want to add an additional feature to rsyslog, but to do so requires that I install additional software, and the only debs that I can find to install that software are very new, requiring me to upgrade my entire rsyslog stack. So, I tried to go to the source and make my own deb myself, but I'm having issues with that as well.

I found, but the documentation is a bit outdated and the repo itself is intended for a slightly different purpose. I was able to figure out the basic workflow and modify some of the script to work better for me, but I'm still encountering issues after a few hours of working on it.

Is there a simple way for me to grab or create older rsyslog debs? I am specifically looking for the trusty rsyslog-kafka 8.22 deb right now, but having a process for the future would be helpful as well.
