Spam filter problem

Postby Douglas Hill » Sat Mar 22, 2003 4:12 pm

My newsletter, which is sent only to subcribers who have requested it, is running afoul of two spam filters, which include in their rating system an all-caps filter. Apparently all-caps HTML codes rate 2.2 on their spam filter scale. Thus, a code like <STRONG> combined with more than one coloured font and a set of long lines is enough to have the message rated as spam.

Can you revise your HTML so that the codes are in lower case? Otherwise, I have to change each of them by hand.

The HTML code is generated by a Microsoft component we use inside the product. I doubt that we can influence the way html is generated. Anyhow, I will forward this request to development and see which response I receive.

Rainer is right, we cannot change how the code is generated.
All I can recommend to you, is to use external HTML Editors (like MS Frontpage).
