FreeBsd 10.0 : error reading "fork pipe": No such process

Postby sango » Wed Dec 03, 2014 11:33 am

Hello,

I clone git repository of rsyslog on my freebsd 10.0 : git clone https://github.com/rsyslog/rsyslog.git rsyslog/
I correct some compil errors and when I want to execute rsyslog I have this error : rsyslog startup failure: error reading "fork pipe": No such process

I execute rsyslog in debug mode for more informations :
Code: Select all

I don't know what's wrong ?

The complete command :
Code: Select all
/usr/local/sbin/rsyslogd -i /var/run/rsyslogd.pid -f /usr/local/etc/rsyslog.conf -d

My rsyslogd.pid :
Code: Select all
[root@ ~/datapack/git/rsyslog]# cat /var/run/rsyslogd.pid
710

My rsyslog.conf :
Code: Select all
[root@ ~/datapack/git/rsyslog]# cat /usr/local/etc/rsyslog.conf
#$ModLoad immark.so   # provides --MARK-- message capability
#$ModLoad imuxsock.so # provides support for local system logging

}

if $programname == 'ppp' then {

}

My /etc/rc.conf :
Code: Select all
[root@ ~/datapack/git/rsyslog]# cat /etc/rc.conf
hostname=""
keymap="fr.iso.kbd"
ifconfig_em0="DHCP"
ifconfig_em0_ipv6="inet6 accept_rtadv"
sshd_enable="YES"
syslogd_enable="NO"
rsyslogd_enable="YES"
rsyslogd_pidfile="/var/run/syslog.pid"
# Set dumpdev to "AUTO" to enable crash dumps, "NO" to disable

Thank's for help.
