Changing hostname to IP for logging

Postby Vieplis » Wed Sep 18, 2013 11:09 am

Hi,

Can you please tell if there is a way to change the way logger is representing syslog messages? Let's say I have a message to send and logger is formatting it accordingly on its way out:
<13>Date Time Hostname Message.

What I would like to achieve is change Hostname to IP of the host, which is sending the message. Is it possible somehow?

Thank you for the assistance.

This most probably requires some small development. If there is a chance you'd like to fund that, please let us know and we'll create a quote for you. As a gut feeling, I'd say this in the ballpark of 500 Euros.
