The Rolling Beta program is open, features and bugfixes will be added continuously.
The changelog below helps you to keep track on the changes.
Feel free to test this new rolling beta version, if you are experiencing any problems,
kindly let us know via support email ( or this forum.

A note on Win32 and x64 Edition
WinSyslog is available for both platforms. Since Build 448 bot Editions are unified in one Setup file, this includes the win32 platform and the x64 platform. If you had win32 installed before, your installation will be upgraded to x64 automatically without loss of any configurations.

Below the change since version 9.0:

:!: 2009-03-27 / build 473
 Features
- Enhanced support for encoding and decoding UTF8, EUC-JP and JIS(ISO-2022JP) encoded syslog messages. The automatic detection of these encodings can be disabled in the Syslog Listener Service.

 Bugfixes
- Fixed missing bytes in Forward Syslog Action when UTF8 Encoding was enabled.
- Fixed a bug in the DNSCache, due a wrong if condition, the dnscache was always used, even if disabled.

:!: 2009-03-16 / build 471
 Features
- Implemented Backup Syslogserver target in the Forward Syslog Action. The backup server is automatically used if the connection to the primary server fails. The main server is automatically retried when the next syslog session is opened.
- Enhanced UTF8 Encoding support in Forward Syslog Action. The Syslog Server needs to be able to detect UTF8 headers.
- Added support for detecting UTF8 headers in Syslog Receiver Service. In order to use UTF8 encoding, the Syslog sender needs to prepend the UTF8 header.

 Bugfixes
- Removed some wide character conversions internally which broke multibyte characters in some cases.
