New Version...New Features... When?

Postby JedK » Mon Jun 09, 2003 1:42 pm

 When is this product going to be released? How about some updates, and enhancements? Is there anything new coming?
How about a sort feature? How about the ability to create sub-groups?

Thanks,
Jed K.

Hi Jed,

Pocket Passwords is released since some month now :)

We have started a work order for the next version, which will probably be re-written in C# using the DOT NET compact framework. This is scheduled for later this year (we are currently evaluating if the compact freamework is really usable in reality). The sorting feature will definitely be implemented with the next release. Sub groups are likely to be included - if by sub-group you mean that you can add one level below the provided groups. But you will have one additional level.

I hope this clarifies.

New Version, New Features, When?

Postby JedK » Fri Aug 01, 2003 9:43 pm

Using C Sharp and .NET seems like a cool idea, but I'm afraid you're not going to have a new product soon, with the new features, or you will have a very buggy product. Sounds like a complete rewrite. I guess that's why we have like 5 years of enhancements, and support. That's about 3 updates the way the way I see it.

Yes, one additional level in the heirarchy is what I'm asking for.

Thanks,
Jed

Any progress on the new version, including the sort feature? Your previous response indicated this would be released later this year.

Thanks,
Goodgraf

I use your product more than any other app on my Pocket PC.

I'm looking forward to the new version, with the features we're all asking for.

Can we nail you down to an approximate date? There's not much "Later This Year" left in 2003.

Thanks

^HI,

I am sorry for the delay. Other applications had to be finished first, I am sorry. I am currently working on a initial beta version of 2.0.

Once it will be ready, you will find informations about it in this forum or in the news of www.pocketpasswords.com.

It will be at the beginning of next month.

Any idea when we'll see the update?

I'm sorry to be so pushy, but there are some features in the next version that will make using your product much easier. Currently I have about 75 passwords stored on my PocketPC. The main feature I need is the sorting.

Thanks,
JedK

It is 2004....don't see where latest version has been released. This product sorely needs a sorting feature.

Alorbach,

Date? Date? Date?

I have about 75 passwords now stored in your product. I'm seriously considering moving to another password product that I found. It does pretty much what we're asking from PocketPasswords. I just don't want to have to go through the work of transfering all my passwords over.

So, please :D can we get a date for completion of your new version?

Thanks,
Jed
