How to make Linux to receive messages from remote hosts?

Postby Jay » Thu Jan 15, 2004 11:14 am

Good Day All,

As titled, I'd like to use my Redhat9.0 to receive messages from some other Unices, routers or switches. Could anyone tell me how to configure the file, "/etc/syslog.conf" in my Redhat? Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
Jay

Its actually not in syslog.conf, but a command line switch. You need to specify -r when starting syslogd.
