Decrypting captured Checkpoint firewall logs...

Postby jtelep » Mon Mar 04, 2013 7:12 pm

I'm curious if anyone else has been able to do this successfully. I have an rsyslog server set up and running on the correct port. The firewall is successfully transmitting it's log files over the the rsyslog server however unless I specifically instruct the Checkpoint to send them unencrypted I cannot read them when they reach the server. How can I decrypt the logs on the server side before they are recorded? Has anyone have any idea how to or has successfully done this? The firewall admin sent me a cert to decrypt the files but I've never configured rsyslog to do this before.
