spool files not deleted

This is the place for you, if you got rsyslog up and running but wonder how to make it do what you want.

spool files not deleted

the version is 5.3.7
I log to local file and remote server. And some messages do not get deleted from /var/spool/rsyslog after being delivered (I checked the logs, and messages are there), so it grows and grows over time. What could be the problem?

that's a good question. I would need to see a debug log when such an issue occurs. To make this useful, it is important that the files be deleted before the run. Then, after rsyslogd terminates, they should still exist, but all messages be delivered. That would give me a starting point to look at. A reproducible test case would be even better.

as soon as I posted, it stopped happening and I can't reproduce it anymore :/. Well, that's not too bad, too. Will post again if repeated.
