Hi

I'm currently trying to set up Rsyslog on an SLES11 server. I want rsyslog to send messages to a mysql database, but i can't find a mysql-plugin suitable for the server.
At the moment rsyslog loggs following error:
Mar 17 09:10:03 <server> rsyslogd: could not load module '/usr/lib64/rsyslog/ommysql.so', dlopen: /usr/lib64/rsyslog/ommysql.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory

I've installed rsyslog 3.18.3.

How about building from source?

Could you explain that for me? I'm kind of a newbie in the linux-world.
From which source i should build the ommysql?

Have a look at this guide (including the pages it links to):

If you do not understand the information there, you are probably better of looking for the package. In that case, I would suggest that you turn to a SuSe forum as well, because usually folks here do not know much about the various packages (and I myself do not have the slightest idea ).

Thank you Rainer, i found http://rpm.pbone.net/index.php3/stat/4/ ... 4.rpm.html it is for an older release, but it worked
