phplogcon-2.8.0 Update

Postby droeun » Tue Feb 02, 2010 1:50 pm

Hi,

What's the best way to update phplogcon? I installed using a yum installation on Fedora 12 and it installed phplogcon-2.1.6-5.beta.fc12.

Still pretty new to linux & would appreciate any assistance.

Thank you!

phpLogCon professional services

  • Custom phpLogCon configuration?
  • Maintenance Contract?
  • Installation support?

Copy all files over your existing installation, don't worry your configuration will not be overwritten.
If you are using the UserDB-System, login into your admin panel, and proceed with database updates.

That's it.

For some reason it wouldn't let me copy the files over unless the original was deleted first. The command I used was cp /home/downloads/phplogcon /usr/share/phplogcon, some went through & then I got some errors, I thought it was supposed to overwrite? I ended up deleting the old files & copying the new ones over with WinSCP instead.

Thanks again!

Properly a permissions problem on the file system side.
But this works as well, you just need to save the "config.php" and put it back once the new files are copied.
