Trying to log to SQL server, will not do anything v3.x

Postby gihzmo1 on Fri Jul 08, 2005 3:29 pm

We are currently just logging everything to text files each day, we wanted to start sending all of that data to a MSSQL server. I have set up the DSN, i have the ODBC set up under the ODBC tab in the client. However i am not seeing anything go into the table in the database, and im not getting any errors in the event log. What could be the problem? We are running vers 3.7.139 SP1. Also is it free to upgrade to the newer version? If not I need to try to make this version work.

Thank you

Well 3.7.x is really a pretty old version, and there are no newer updates out for this Version. An update is only free if you purchased Upgrade Insurance, for more details contact sales AT adiscon.com.

Anyway there were no error logging options in this Version, but it was possible to grab internal debug messages using an external tool like DebugView from Sysinternals: http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/DebugView.html

This may help you troubleshooting this problem.
