The File Replication Service has detected an enabled disk write cache on the drive containing the directory c:\winnt\ntfrs\jet on the computer BHEDU01. The File Replication Service might not recover when power to the drive is interrupted and critical updates are lost.

WAIT! calm down all is well., your drive has caching enabled this message is just to warn you that you should turn off the drive cache. But if you have a raid array (hardware) everything is fine just make sure the cache is set to write thru.

Indeed it just tells you that disk cache (Harddisk) is enabled of your system which *could* cause loss of data if the system fails (power lost).

If the machine is a domain controller, it maybe will turn off the disk cache automatically. But this has the disadvantage that harddisk performance will go slow down.

This error happens if something in the Active Directory database went wrong. Usually caused by bad blocks on the harddisk.

Either restore it from the last backup (if there is any), or use lowlevel tools to repair the database (if possible).

To find out more about this error read this article: http://www.microsoft.com/Exchange/techi ... 5/1018.asp

Read this article which is about Disaster Recovery for Windows 2000 as well ;)
