This is the place for you, if you got rsyslog up and running but wonder how to make it do what you want.

snmp traps

Postby askorp » Tue Jun 23, 2009 8:15 am

Hi,

I have been using rsylog to collects the logs from my cisco devices (routers and switches).
Everything works fine except i can't collect logs from cisco 1900 switches since there is no way to configure them to sent logs on a syslog server.
The only way i can monitor them is with snmp. Is there a way so rsylog can collect snmp data?

best regards,

Aris

Professional Services Information

  • Custom written rsyslog.conf?
  • Maintenance Contract?
  • Installation support?

sorry, but that's currently not possible. It would require a SNMP input module to be written...
