I'm currently licensed for 1.2 - will I have to upgrade my licenses to version 2?

Q: I'm currently licensed for 1.2 - will I have to upgrade my licenses to version 2?
A: Some background first to make the concept clear to you. You can use this license key for any 1.x version of MonitorWare Agent. But this license key will not work if you want to upgrade from 1.2 to 2.0 and it will also not work if you want to switch from e.g. basic version to professional version. It calls for a new license .

Q: I am planning to use Monitorware Console - will version 2 serve my needs better?
A: MonitorWare Agent 2.0 parses the incoming messages and creates a NameValue Pair and stores this (NameValue Pair) in a separate table. This helps MonitorWare Console to generate more meaningful reports from this additional info. This wasn't present in MonitorWare Agent 1.3.
