I'm in the process of upgrading from a PowerEdge 800 to a PowerEdge 840. Very similar, but some differences. I have 10 users in AD with Exchange inboxes. My question is, is it possible to use an ASR to just mirror the box? or do I have to go through transferring AD and exchange?

Hi,

if the hardware is simular (mobo chipset, cpu etc), I would try to mirror/ clone the harddrivers, and see if the server starts up. If not, you need to migrate all services to the new machine the hard way.
