I occasionally lose my head and absent mindedly save while in the HTML view. The result is a catastrophic failure which closes the program and loses my work. Is there a work-around for that? I mean other than brain surgery for me?

These "catastrophic failure" are generated by the MS html editing component and can occur for many reasons.

I know it is a very annoying error, and it is even hard to handle from within NewsMerge. All I can tell you is to save your work from time to time by using the file menu. And be careful when using things like Shockwave Flash in html. Such additional components sometimes make the html editing component instable.
