Syslog Receipt Acknowledgement

another question, is there a way i can verify that my syslog msg made it to another syslog? some type of confirmation...i dunno.

The bottom line is that with standard syslog (syslog/UDP) you don't have an acknowledgement and thus you can't verify. You need syslog/TCP (mostly reliable) or SETP (reliable, but only supported by MonitorWare Agent) to do this.
