Event id 1010 from various sources

Postby rgerhards on Wed Jun 25, 2003 1:20 pm

I just came about frequent questions on event 1010 from multiple sources (i.e. RemoteAccess,TCPIP,RSVP,etc). They all read as follows:

Event ID: 1010
Description: The Collect Procedure for the (service name) service in DLL (DLL name) generated an exception or returned an invalid status. Performance data returned by counter DLL will not be returned in Perf Data Block. Exception or status code returned is DWORD 0.

For upgraded servers, this URL may help:

http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=219023

It could also be that perfdisk.dll is corrupt.
