I am beginning to wonder if my OS (Windows XP Home Edition) has an problem that creates an error when I check for email subscriptions.

With Newsmerge version 2.0, I had a problem (dealt with in this forum previously) with the email retrieval freezing. For a while, that seemed to be corrected, but after a few days returned to a freeze condition with every mail check.

When I installed version 2.1, the email problem seemed to be resolved: the program exited properly after a mail check; however, now, although I am able to check the mail and record the new subsciber automatically, the program reports a type mismatch error 13, and will not send the confirmation mail.

No this time it is not this Issue! I was able to reproduce it.

It was a bug in the Email checking facility which has been fixed now.
Please download NewsMerge again and install it over your existing installation.

Alternative send an email to support@adiscon.com and I will send you teh fixed NewsMerge.exe only.
