Windows 2003 Server Bluescreen

Postby Chris on Fri Jun 20, 2003 3:44 pm

HELP!
I have been trying to load Windows 2003 Server for 2 days
and kept getting the following Stop Error just after the
first re-boot:

***Stop: 0X0000008E
0XC0000005, 0X7E56762D,0XF7AFAAD0,0X00000000)

I updated my bios on my ASUS P4C800 Deluxe and managed to
move beyond that point. I thought I had cracked it...

Then further into setup I got this...

*** Stop: 0X0000008E
0xC0000005,0X7E56762D,0XF74F5AD0,0X00000000)

If anyone could help that would be great. I realize the
Mobo isn't on the HCL but it is supposed to support 2000.
The system is as follows:-

ASUS P4C800 Deluxe Motherboard
512Mb Corsair XMS DDR
Adaptec 2120s SCSI Raid Card
2 mirrored (+1 Hot Spare) Seagate Cheetah 37Gb Drives 10k
Seagate Scorpion 40 SCSI DDS4 Drive
Adaptec 29160LP SCSI Controller Card
Standard Floppy and CD
Tried 3 different Video cards currently Radeon 64Mb DDR
VIVO, which along with the rest of the components (apart
from motherboard) is on the HCL

Many Thanks in advance

Chris

Try removing all un-necessary cards, then putting them back in one-by-one
after the install

In fact it's Asus P4C800 Deluxe and I've flashed BIOS to the latest 1016. I have no other devices attached to the machine except a ordinary floppy,cd,normal ide hdd (maxtor) and legacy video (geforce2 mx400) - nothing else attached to the motherboard.
I've tried with different hard disk, even changed the memory - I've put another dimms. No effect - every time, just before installation completition - blue screen Stop 0x0000008e

Windows Server 2003 "Enterprise Edition" on P4C800

Postby buffbuh on Tue Nov 02, 2004 11:42 pm

I was able to do it. The problem I have is connecting to the internet. It did at one time, then configuring server stuff, I lost the connection. It can't ping any outside address.

I called ASUS, and they cut me off as soon as I mentioned "Windows Server 2003" - I guess the motherboard doesn't support it. They wouldn't try a thing with me. Two times I have called/waited and they were in a big hurry to get me off the phone.

Any new luck on your journey?
