Hello!
Is it possible to have IP-address in "fromhost" field and DNS-name in "hostname" field?
When I start Rsyslog with -x key, i receive IP's in both fields, and without it I have DNS-names in both fields.

Is there any wayout?

• Custom written rsyslog.conf?
• Maintenance Contract?
• Installation support?

I am sorry, this is currently not supported. But I already thought about this being a bad thing. I'll see if I can add new properties to provide both. But it may require a little bit of time. Could you please do me a favor and open an enhancement request in our bugzilla: http://bugzilla.adiscon.com/rsyslog-bugs.html

Are there any changes concerning my request?

Sorry, not yet, been very busy with TLS. But I just changed it to high priority, so I hope to be able to do it within the next 2 weeks.
