Changing default GMT timezone

This is the place for you, if you got rsyslog up and running but wonder how to make it do what you want.

Changing default GMT timezone

Postby SirAldemar on Thu Jan 24, 2008 6:02 pm

Folks,

I am new to RSyslog but it seems to have some great potential. I am trying to change some of the initial settings and don't know where they are.

How do I change the default GMT timezone? My logs are currenlty showing entries that are 6 hours off. I have looked at the raw records in MySQL and those are correct.

Professional Services Information

  • Custom written rsyslog.conf?
  • Maintenance Contract?
  • Installation support?

Hi,

quick question first: do you really mean rsyslog, or phpLogCon ( http://www.phplogcon.org ), the web interface? I am asking because there is nothing specific about time zones in rsyslog itself.

Rainer,

I guess this would be phplogcon since that is how the information is being displayed.

All

Never mind. With Rainer's suggestion I looked into the config.php file for phplogcon and found the correct setting.

Keep up the good work folks.
