hello,
i am from turkey.. my syslog server operating system Slackware 10.2.
i set it MySQL.
from where Rsyslog install document from where can i find ?
i could not load rsyslog :(
do you give the document me ?

must i exchange this file ?
#mv syslog.conf rsyslog.conf ??
or
#cp sample.conf /etc
#mv sample.conf rsyslog.conf

WHICH ONE IS CORRECT ? ?
rsyslog.conf and syslog.conf WILL THEY TOGETHER WORK ?

you can use your existing syslog.conf if you do not need the new features. You can also use it as a starting point to add anything new you would like. So

cp /etc/syslog.conf /etc/rsyslog.conf

It's described in step 6 of the document I mentioned ;)

if i started to use rsyslog.conf and rsyslog, can i raise old syslog ve syslog.conf?
