Having a problem installing phplogcon. Rsyslog is installed and writing to mysql with default Syslog DB.
Do i understand this right that you can point it at Rsyslog default DB Syslog and it will work?

O.S- WB linux Respin 2
Mysql ver- 3.23.58-15
php ver- 4.3.2


Here's the error:

Checking users input... Done!
Creating required tables...
Database error: Invalid query
mysql error: You have an error in your SQL syntax near '; ' at line 29
mysql error number: 1064
Date: 03.10.2005 @ 17:40
Script: /logcon/install/perform.php
Referer: http://192.168.1.44/logcon/install/install.php

Here's the data i enter in the install:

Connection Type: * Mysql
Host/IP: * localhost
Port (If standard, leave blank):
User (User must have 'INSERT' and 'CREATE' rights!): root
Password: ******
Re-type password: ******
Database/DSN name: Syslog
Database time format: localtime


Any help would be appreciated

Yes, this should work.

The error you describe is already fixed in phpLogCon's CVS. Either you can download the files from the cvs
http://sourceforge.net/cvs/?group_id=84198

or you have to edit the files manually:
1. Go to phplogcon/scripts folder
2. Remove in all files starting with 'mysql_' the semicolon in the last line (it is always the last character).

One other minor thing on the top of the index page is this:

Notice: Use of undefined constant _VersionMajor - assumed '_VersionMajor' in /var/www/html/logcon2/index.php on line 93

Notice: Use of undefined constant _VersionMinor - assumed '_VersionMinor' in /var/www/html/logcon2/index.php on line 93

Notice: Use of undefined constant _VersionPatchLevel - assumed '_VersionPatchLevel' in /var/www/html/logcon2/index.php on line 93

phpLogCon version _VersionMajor._VersionMinor._VersionPatchLevel

If i comment out line 93 in index.php all is well.
