we have configured a file monitor service in Adiscon MonitorWare Agent version: 3.1.292 that makes little problems, when a new file is created.
the new file creation procedure happens every day at 5:00 am.
we have to servers with exactly the same configuration in which we monitor different logfiles, for example the iis w3c logfiles and both servers work identically.
The target to monitor is a logfile with the name YYYYMMDD_backup.log and i configured the "file and path name"-option in the Agent this way: "path\%Y%m%d_backup.log".

now every morning i miss the entries in the newly created logfile on our syslogserver till e reset the "last line value" in the agent gui.
the iis logfile monitoring works fine with only one config difference in the logfile type.
does anyone have expected the same problem and could help?

Hi Joergele,

this is definitely not how it is supposed to work. Would it be possible that you create a debug log for us (can be set in the general options) and mail it. Please do not post it on the forum, as it contains potentially sensitive information.
