You don't have permission to update WINDOWS2003 Server

Postby vikash_roy on Thu Jan 12, 2006 2:06 pm

I am getting some crazy message" You dont have permission to update WINDOWS2003 Server" , when I am trying to apply hot fix for VSS error on windows server WindowsServer2003-KB891957-x86-ENU.

Even thou I login to machine locally and then run this file I am getting same message.

Really dont know what to do.
Thanks

Hi,

I assume you are a System Administrator on the Server and logged in with such user rights?

If so it could be that your server is infected with adware which has modifed system policies in order to prevent you from updating the Server.
