unable to create a junction point

Postby Gudgey » Sun Aug 14, 2005 3:27 pm

Hi,

Could someone please help me with this as its driving me nuts? I am working through the Microsoft MCSE training kit for Windows 2000 server and trying to create some Dfs links. I follow the instructions in the book exactly, but having filled in the fields as instructed I get this message:

"The following error occurred while creating the Dfs link: unable to create a junction point"

There is nothing in the book about this and having searched the Web I can only find tables of error messages (this is error no.2669), but no explanation of what it means and how to resolve it.

Thanks in advance
Gudgey
