Macfile Event 12017

We get this messeage all time we restart our server.

Error: Source - MacFile / Event ID: 12017 / Description: Desktop database for volume "XXXX" could not be loaded. Reconstructing the database

Anyone an idea?

Hi,

hard to say, what aopplication is "MacFile"?

We get the same thing. We have to go into dns and scavenge stale resource records and clear casche. We think it is a replication error on our wan.

macfile = file services for Apple Macintosh

means that the Apple Dektop for the Mac shared volume was corrupted (after restart?) and thus needs to be re-created, so that Apple Mac's can see what's on the shared volume/Folder for Mac.
