trying to evaluate eventreporter

Postby dfg » Tue Oct 26, 2004 8:21 pm

I downloaded the latest version of EventReporter (v 7 beta) to evaluate. It installed OK but when I try to start it up it gives me a message: You don't have the appropriate license for this functionality.

Do I need to obtain a trial license?

Thanks for you help,

Hello,

there must be an issue with the beta. There is no specific license required. Does this message occur when the Configuration program is started - or when the service is started?

Looking forward to your reply,

When the configuration was started. The service started with no problems.

Since my last message, I unstalled the beta and installed v 6.3 SP1 on the same machine - but I still get the same error message.

I will probably install the older version on a different machine and see how that goes...

Thanks,

Hi,

can you tell me which Version of Windows you are using? :?
I have seen such problems before when the XML parser installation was broken (for what reason ever).

Please try the following in order to solve the problem manually:
Download MX XML Parser 3 SP4 from here and install it.
Then try to start the Client application again.

Andre

Hi again,

during meantime we have updated the setup file, it now contains the latest version of the XML Parser. So if you like you can try to download the EventReporter 7 Setup again and install it over your existing installation.
