RADIUS Server

Postby govinr » Wed Mar 31, 2004 4:50 pm

I am trying to set-up a RADIUS Server in Windows 2000 Server. I have configured the IAS Service, and Routing and Remote Access Service. Set the secret passwords the same. The NAS is a Cisco device, which is also the RADIUS Client. Cisco router is managed by BT as it is part of our NetEquip WAN. BT have provided us with a freephone dial-up number to use to dial in on. When I test the remote access client dial-up, I get error in the event viewer that says Event ID 17 "A signature attribute is required in Access-Requests from client" This points to the secret password settings, but BT assure me that the have set the password as the same.

Help.

Have you enabled the check message authenticator flag on the RADIUS client?
