Trying to get winsyslog to accept syslog messages from solaris 8 & 9. they log fine to another solaris box but winsyslog does not see them.

Hello,

could you please have a look at the Windows application event log. When WinSyslog encounters problems, it logs diagnostic messages there. You can review that with Windows Event Viewer. The event log is always a good starting point for trouble-shooting, so I kindly ask you to let us know if there is something in it, and if so, what.

I checked the events and the only thing in there for winsyslog is the start and stop.

Hi,

please try to enable debug logging (See General Options) and set the level to Full Output. Then let WinSyslog run for a while and send the debug file packed to support AT adiscon DOT com.
