I am running Exchange 5.5 on Windows 2000 Server (fully patched) in an NT domain (not Active Directory). I have Internet Locator Server installed from the Exchange 5.5 CD which installs the LDAP service. The Microsoft LDAP Service has never started up. Every time you try to start that service, it says "The system cannot find the file specified." If i look in my event viewer, I see these three logs.

I have uninstalled Internet Locator Server and rebooted my Server. This removed the Microsoft LDAP Service. I then reinstalled ILS and rebooted again. The service re-appeared but I get the same errors. I have also installed the Chat Service for Exchange in hope that it needed some kind of file from there but to no avail. I've even changed my LDAP port to 390 and I get the same thing. I need LDAP working to use an additional feature from my spam firewall. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
