Hi,
We have downloaded and attempted to run the syslog appliance on both ESX 4.0 and ESX 3.5 but these fail with error messages similar to other have reported here.

Error message on VM startup is:

Failed to open disk scsi0:0: Unsupported and/or invalid disk type 7. Did you forget to import the disk
first?Unable to create virtual SCSI device for scsi0:0,
'/vmfs/volumes/4a07e12a-1c4d7411-eac4-0015c5f3c6b7/syslogappliance/Appliance-OS.vmdk' Module
DevicePowerOn power on failed.

We have tried using 'Buslogic Parallel' and 'LSI Parallel' controllers in the VM definition but consistently get this message. Can you advise how to get this running please?
