Send Mail on Event

Postby sscl_paul on Mon Feb 23, 2004 6:51 pm

I have event reporter configured to send an e-mail based on a certain event in the event log. I have triple checked the settings and I am not getting the e-mails.

Of course after making any changes I have stopped and restarted the service.

Any advice would be great.

Dear Paul,

get you an error in your eventlog, or does the mail server logs any error?

Sorry for the above post, I didn't catch the fact that you already tried that.

Nothing in the Event Log

I have gone through the event log and have found no errors regarding eventreporter, or actually no errors.

Dear Paul!

For better assistance, please send us your configuration. To do so:

1. Go to Computer Menu -> Export Settings to Registry-file (not binary!)
2. Save it
3. Go to General Options -> Enable Debug Output (set it to maximum)
4. Let it run for some time, then disable the debug output
5. Forward this file also with the Registry-file to us. Please send it by email to support@adiscon.com with the subject "Send Mail on Event".

With this information we ran reproduce your configuration in our lab.
