This is the place for you, if you got rsyslog up and running but wonder how to make it do what you want.

Text File Input

Hello,

I'd really like to be able to give rsyslog a directory to monitor for log files. We are running cPanel with hundreds of clients, each of which has a access log file in a certain directory. It would be too cumbersome to add each file individually.
This function was the reason we switched from syslog-ng, and now I can't find it in rsyslog either :(

If anyone has a better idea about how to send apache log files to syslog while at the same time preserving individual access logs for each vhost for statistics and such, I would love to hear it.

Thanks!
