Sorry, I was not able to get my Centos 5.0 patch command to recognize the patch you provided. Tried downloading the patch from the raw link as well as cut and paste. Each time I got a message from --dry-run of

Hmm... I can't seem to find a patch in there anywhere.
patch: **** Only garbage was found in the patch input.


I will go with my patch for now and pick up your version and retest when a stable release is available.

Download the raw patch at
http://git.adiscon.com/?p=rsyslog.git;a ... 5be184c0e2

and apply it with "patch -p1 < patch"
