Hi All,

Lately we are getting a lot of these eventlog entries on the NT4 domain control:

EventLog: System
Date/Time: 10/14/2003 12:20:49 AM
Id: 5722
Source: NETLOGON

The session setup from the computer %1 failed to authenticate.
The name of the account referenced in the security database is
%2. The following error occurred: %Access is denied.

In our env, we have AD, and NT4 domain. Both are fully trusted. These NetLogon errors show in NT4 domain controller's eventlog only.

Any one knows what could have caused this?

Thanks in advance.

They don't learn from their mistakes ad Microsoft.

It happens in our classroom once a week. Workstations win2K logon to a windows 2000 server !!!

When it happens we disconnect the UTP and enter on the OK of the announcement about this event on the screen. Then Enter again on the login screen. Wait till windows desktop appairs and wait till the report comes about the network connections that cannot be made. Then put back the UTP into the network adapter. Enter again and everything works normal !!!!!

Shit happens.

Anyone have any other suggestions - I have tried every fix I could find, and is usual with Microsoft - nothing works.

Similar problem - dying for some answers

We are having similar problems. Our PDC and BDC's are NT4.
When ever I install SP4 on a W2k PC we get the 5722 event on the PDC/BDC's.

If anybody has any solution besides the once already mentioned (all tried and failed) I'd be very happy.
