Send a Mail

Postby prakash.akumalla on Tue Jul 29, 2008 7:09 am

hi,
I have implemented email alert with my rsyslog3.18.0
its working fine.

Now i want to know which part of file in /rsyslog/plugins/ommail/ has the details of sending mail options and configuring sendmail option.

Please clarify my doubt.

thanks,
Prakash.

Hi,
Is there any built in mail server in rsyslog that enables it to send emails?

Prakash.

Hi,
No, I mean Including ommail.so in our configuration file invokes mail server's address and is able to send mail?

Thanks,
Prakash. :!:

Sorry, I don't fully understand you question. But there is a full sample in the documentation:
