Date Invalid

Postby iaing on Wed Jul 09, 2008 9:41 am

I have installed phplogcon v2.2.0 on my Centos 5 system.

I have pointed it to a readable symbolic link for the /var/log/messages file.

Now everything seems to work, except the date displayed is completely wrong.
If I look at my messsages file the date is Jul 9 09:34:09
When I look at the phplog con screen I get 2007-12-09 09:34:09

How can I fix this ??????

Hi iaing,

have you also tried the latest Beta Version v2.3.7 as well, to see if the problem exists there, too?
You can kindly copy the beta files over your existing installation, and go back if you want later by copying the v2.2.0 files back again.

I have the exact same problem on a RHEL5 machine. Did you find out any fix for this problem?

I have tried 2.2, 2.3 and 2.5 all have the same problem. using the date() command in php, the machine returns the correct date/time. RHEL also returns the correct date/time using date. What to do?

Hi,

this is very strange, I am going to look into this issue again.
EDIT: Fyi, there seems to be a problem parsing the date when the syslog date is between the 1. and 9. of a month. I am going to fix this asap, a new release will be made tomorrow.

Hi again,

I have fixed this issue and released an update for the beta branch of phpLogCon a few moments ago.
The Syslog time should no be correctly parsed and displayed.

The new Version 2.3.9 can be downloaded from here:
http://www.phplogcon.org/downloads

If you need the update for the devel branch, you will have to wait until tomorrow.
