Maybe there is another device acting as DHCP.
Do your clients have problems getting an IP address as well?

DHCP NACK

If you have a router on the network these can give out dhcp addresses as well check that any routers have dhcp disabled. If you have w2k / xp clients check that they arent getting 169.254.x.y addresses - could mean you have a dodgy hub. if all this pans out try removing dhcp svs and reinstalling (not forgetting to re service pack afterwards

Thank you for your help.
PRF: No there is no other device giving Ip adress on the network. When a user get an Ip for the frist time it ok, but when the unplug the Laptop and comme back a few minute later the IP address is no longer avalible and as been place by Windows DHCP service as a BAD ADDRESS. the user then get a new address from the same DHCP until i ran out.
alorbach: No the Cisco router don't have the dhcp active.

Thank you for your help again.
