SysLog 8003, Sys Err 6118: can't map network drives

The master browser has received a server announcement from the computer FOO that believes that it is the master browser for the domain on transport NetBT_Tcpip_{YadaYada. The master browser is stopping or an election is being forced.

That's all I see in the system log. I will also on occasion get this from the command-line when typing NET VIEW:

System error 6118 has occurred.
The list of servers for this workgroup is not currently available

But other times the other machine shows up.

Perhaps this is of relevance... We have a wireless hub here (Syslink). I am connected with a cable, having a basic ethernet card, and the other guy has a wireless card. The same hub provides for both ethernet and wireless connections.

We are both using Win2K, and we both get our tcp/ip info from a DSL router. Router -> hub, hub -> us. Tryin gto make a share, and can't see each other's shares. Usually though I can see his machine itself.

Something about getting to the point of posting a note that comes up with a fix...

NetBEUI does the trick. The other guys machine has it, mine didn't, I installed it, we're sharing folders.
