I have just installed Winsyslog 4.2. I have setup a service and a ruleset and I am receiving syslog messages in my file logging text file. However I am not getting any messages in my Interactive Syslog window

You would have to forward the contents to the computer on which your interactive server is running. Secondly, the port on which interactive syslog server by default listens is 10514. So please make sure that you are sending the data to the correct port i.e 10514. I hope it solves your problem.

Get you any errors?

On which port is the interactive syslog server listening? Does it differ to the Winsyslog service? And does the "Forward via Syslog" action points to the Interactive Server on the right Port/Protocol?

For further help: Please enable debug output in Winsyslog's general options and forward it to support@adiscon.com

Maybe we can see the mistake in the debug log.
