Multiboot window XP and Windows Server 2003

Postby Robin » Wed Dec 10, 2003 8:48 pm

Hi,

Currently I have Windows XP installed (NTFS) on the first harddisk. I would like to install Windows Server 2003 on a second harddisk.
I should have the choice at startup which OS to start.
What is the best way to do this?
Thanks.

Robin.

Simply install it from CD - it will ask you where to install and after installation you will have a boot menu where you can choose into which system you want to boot.

Dual boot - Win2kPro and Win2kServer

I have a Dell Latitude D600 with W2k Professional on the internal HD. I have bought a new external Dell harddisk (Media bay) connected via usb. When I try to install Win2kServer on this external, I get into trouble. Or: when running the Server CD it is not possible to "see" the usd HD, only the internal disk.
