Integrate windows event logs with phpconlog

Postby joelserrano » Thu Jun 25, 2009 4:24 pm

Hi people,

I would like to integrate windows event logs with phpconlog.

I have already running a rsyslogd with mysql, the idea would be to send the windows event logs to the rsyslogd server, and then view them with phpconlog.

What agent do you recommend me to use?

The ones i've seen are:

EventReporter (from www.eventreporter.com)
Datagram SyslogAgent (from www.syslogserver.com)

Has anybody tried any of them to give me any idea of which to use...?

Thanks again.

Joel.

phpLogCon professional services

  • Custom phpLogCon configuration?
  • Maintenance Contract?
  • Installation support?

EventReporter is from the same team that wrote phpLogCon. phpLogCon contains support for displaying messages generated from it in native event log format (but it may need to be activated, not sure).

As a side-note, there are a myriad of other reasons for it, it was the first ever event log to syslog tool and invented that class of applications. It still leads the pack when it comes to stability, functonaliyt and performance. But enough of the sales plug ;)
