Hi,

We have a problem it seems that program names with larger than 32 characters are cut off, is there anyway to fix this?

The 32 character limit is imposed by RFC 3164, section 4.1. As far as I know, rsyslogd has no way to handle tags that are greater than 32 characters.

Since 3.17.0, tags should be received in full length. I ignored the 32 size limit because sysklogd also ignores it. However, the default forwarding template still cuts at 32 chars. The database schema also has the 32 char limit. If you use an older version, I suggest upgrading. If you have a recent version, please post more details so that I can see what is going wrong.
