Hi,

I have one doubt in recent versions of rsyslog 3.18.0 and 3.18.1
Actually i have worked on 3.16.1 and 3.16.2 earlier. To test email alert i shifted to recent series. While using the recent series 3.18.0 and 3.18.1 i came across a new error which i did not come across while using the old series. The error is

localhost sshd[5932]: fatal: Read from socket failed: Connection reset by peer

Here I am using ssh console. All the installation and configuration part i used is similar to the one I used while using the older series.
I request you to check this once.

Where and when are you seeing this error?

This appears to be generated by sshd, which (AFAIK) isn't used at all by rsyslogd.

I am seeing this error almost once in a minute. With this error another error i came across too frequently with recent series of rsyslog is

connection closed by UNKNOWN

looks like a ssh problem (which is not used by rsyslog), but please post (or mail) a complete debug log so that we know what happens.
