Event id 3101 - problem with NBT-device

Postby Finnish rookie on Tue Nov 11, 2003 3:01 pm

Can anyone tell me what is this NBT-device and what is wrong with it.
Always when I watch the movies or play games, suddenly computer reboot and event viewer says: "Unable to read IO control information from NBT device". Have I something wrong with hardware or what..??

Sounds like a driver problem of your display adapter to me.
Have you tried installing the latest one?

If you a card with NVIDIA chip on it, you can go to www.nvidia.com and get the latest Detonator driver.

I try another display adapter (radeon7000) and still same problem....
My videoplayer (BS-player) say there is something wrong with directdraw properties. Some movies doesnt work at all and some works, but screen is totally gray. Do you have more good ideas ?

I've got that same event, but in the other situation. My 2k is restarting after short time of using any download manager.
