Event ID 100 in MSFTPSVC!

Postby jobber on Wed Jun 23, 2004 2:38 pm

I'm getting this error when trying to log into an IIS5 ftp site that i've created on Win2k-AS.

The Event log reads "The server was unable to logon the Windows NT account '********' due to the following error: Logon failure: the user has not been granted the requested logon type at this computer. The data is the error code." (I've *'d out the username).

The user is a member of the domain guests group and another internal group which is used for security.

Has anyone come up against anything like this before, it's probably me being dumb and forgetting something very simple but it's really annoying me.

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers

I am not 100% sure, but I think with basic authentication the user must be granted the right to log on localy.
