Hello,

I am having a problem. I am running winsyslog 5.3 and I am trying to log everything to a MS access 2003 database. I have created an ODBC link. I also created 2 rules: 1 for logging to the database and 1 to log to a text file. Logging to text file is working, logging to db not; I am getting a lot of errors: Event ID 114;
Error while applying an action - skipping this action. Error is 'ODBC Error Code: 'IM002'
ODBC Error Description: '[Microsoft][ODBC Driver Manager] Data source name not found and no default driver specified'.'.

Can you tell me what the problem is?

Hi,

from hte error message it looks like that you have created a USER DSN and not a SYSTEM DSN. Can you verify and check this?
WinSyslog needs a System DSN for database logging as it runs as a system service.
